PDF
Portable Document Format aka PDF is an open standard file format for the exchange of documents. Created by Adobe in the 90′s, it has became one of the most widely used file format for sharing and exchanging documents with each other. The man reason behind it being so popular is its ease to use. To open the file you just need to install any free PDF reader software from a wide range of list  and you are good to go.
However, there is just one problem with these softwares. Most of them do not provide editing functionality  which means that you can only read the file but you can’t edit them. Although there are several paid softwares which provide this functionality, wouldn’t it be great if there was any free alternative?
So, today we are here with a list of top sites which allow you to edit PDF files and that too for absolutely free. So, you need not spend even a single penny to buy any of those expensive softwares. So, which sites are those? Let’s get started.

Take Windows 8 for a test drive | Where Can I Download Windows 8 for Testing?

Where Can I Download Windows 8 for Testing?

Would you like to download and try the full edition of Windows 8 on your computer before buying a copy?
Microsoft today released Windows 8 to the world.
Take Windows 8 for a test drive

If you have a computer that running either Windows XP, Windows Vista or Windows 7, you may head over to windows.com to buy your own upgrade copy of Windows 8 Pro (Professional) edition for $39.99 (or INR1,999 if you are in India). This is an extremely reasonable price and it will stay valid until January, 2013.

Prior to releasing the full version of Windows 8, Microsoft had offered a release preview edition that allowed enthusiasts to evaluate the new software before making the switch. Now that Windows 8 final is available, the release preview edition has been pulled from the Microsoft website.

That said, if you would like to try out Windows 8 before buying the upgrade pack, here’s an easy way. Go to msdn.microsoft.com, scroll to the bottom of the page and you’ll find links to download the 90-day trial edition of Windows 8. Microsoft provides these evaluation copies for developers but even consumers can download them for trying Windows 8.

A word of caution though. These are evaluation copies that will expire after 90 days and cannot be upgraded to the final edition. You should therefore create a bootable Windows 8 DVD from the evaluation ISOs and either set them up in a dual-boot environment or, better still, setup a Virtual Machine.

So people over ParamountZone have developed an iHelicopter which can be controlled with iPhone or Android app
iPhone and Android Controlled iHelicopter

Uses Touchscreen as a Control Interface
Instead of using the remote control, it is controlled with iPhone or Android app. A small IR transmitter is attached to the 3.5mm audio jack of the compatible device. After attaching the transmitter, you need to install the Copter Controller app from Apple App Store or Android Market. Just search for the Copter Controller and install it. Once you have installed it on your phone you will just have to wait for your brand new iHelicopter to arrive and attach the IR transmitter to your phone which is included in the box. You will now be ready and able to start flying this stylish helicopter.
The controls of Copter Control app on your touchscreen interface can be used to fly it Up/Down, Left/Right and Forward/Back. The helicopter can also be controlled with the inbuilt gyroscope of the device. So just rotate the device in the direction in which you want to move it. It is just like playing a motion game on your smart phone. The only difference is you are now playing it in real-time.
iPhone and Android Controlled iHelicopter – Perfect for Geeks

When you start using the app it is important to turn the volume up on your phone to maximum to get best response. This is what regulates the transmitter strength.

Performance and Features
When you will see the video preview at the bottom, you can see that it moves well with the iPhone controller. It is somewhat difficult to move it in tight spaces however it performs well in a large room.
It’s made of crash resistant material which reduces crash damage so you need not to worry about any damage occurring due to crashes.
It don’t require any removable batteries. It is charged with USB port. Once fully charged it can fly for approximately 9 minutes and it takes around 30 minutes to get fully charged. You might be thinking that 9 minutes flight time is really less but the time is best for the price and features it offers.
  • As compared to traditional controllers, you don’t need to buy batteries for the controller which saves a lot of money over the lifetime of the product.
  • It has a Turbo button for extra forward speed.
  •  You can tilt the phone to move it forwards/backwards and left/right.
  • Cool LED lights.
  • Crash resistant material.

5 Can’t Wait Features for Windows 8 - Technology

Posted by Levasto India | | Posted in

The long-awaited release of Microsoft’s newest version of Windows, Windows 8, is almost here. Unlike some of the past updates to the company’s iconic operating system, this version will be ushering in some sweeping changes that will have profound impacts on both its usability and functionality. Microsoft’s goal is to unify the user experience across multiple platforms: PCs, tablets, phones, and the X-box console. Here are the top five changes that have PC users chomping at the bit for the Windows 8 release.
5 Can’t Wait Features for Windows 8

1.  User Interface - The most substantial change in this version of Windows 8 has been made in the user interface. This new version will be relying on a completely redesigned interface called Metro, which will probably look familiar since it has already been in use on both tablets/phones and the X-Box console.  Instead of accessing apps via the start menu, users’ apps will now be tiled on the start screen. Each pane displays real-time updates and allows for easy one-click access to the apps. The panes are customizable, meaning that users can arrange their start screens to show their most-used apps. Windows hasn’t done away with the old desktop, however. The start bar is still accessible and users can switch between the familiar old interface, which has been updated, and the newer Metro.

2. Cloud Storage - Users who work on multiple platforms or PCs will be thrilled by Microsoft’s introduction of cloud storage, SkyDrive. Simply by signing into one’s Microsoft SkyDrive account, users will instantly have access to all of the files, settings, and preferences they have been saved, regardless of the device they’re using. Furthermore, SkyDrive automatically synchs up with online social networking and file sharing sites, such as Flickr and Facebook, to keep users files and photos updated.

3. App Store - With Windows 8, Microsoft is finally entering the apps marketplace. In this new version of Windows, users will have easy access to the Windows Store which will allow them to buy the apps they want to customize their user experience. Each downloaded app will be usable on up to five different devices.

4. Charms - Windows 8 also introduces some new features of usability that the company is calling “charms”. Essentially, charms are shortcuts that make navigating around a Windows 8-powered device simpler for users. The charms bar offers simple access to functions such as “search” and “settings” and can be customized by users with their most-used shortcuts.

5. Updates to Internet Explorer/Safety  - Finally, this version of Windows also means that users will be seeing an updated version of Internet Explorer.  The new version is optimized to fully utilize the entire screen with navigation controls that fade away when a user is browsing a website and reappear when the mouse is moved. This newest version of IE also makes good use of HTML5 for a more seamless and integrated browsing experience. On top of the changes in IE 10, Microsoft is also introducing Defender as a part of Windows 8. Defender works in the background and identifies when a device has been compromised by malware of a virus. When a threat has been recognized, Defender attempts to isolate the threat and remove it from the device. If a user prefers to use different anti-virus software, Defender can easily be turned off in favor of the other.

Announcing Google Maps Navigation for Android 2.0

Posted by Levasto India | | Posted in , , , ,

Since 2005, millions of people have relied on Google Maps for mobile to get directions on the go. However, there's always been one problem: Once you're behind the wheel, a list of driving directions just isn't that easy to use. It doesn't tell you when your turn is coming up. And if you miss a turn? Forget it, you're on your own.
Today we're excited to announce the next step for Google Maps for mobile: Google Maps Navigation (Beta) for Android 2.0 devices.

This new feature comes with everything you'd expect to find in a GPS navigation system, like 3D views, turn-by-turn voice guidance and automatic rerouting. But unlike most navigation systems, Google Maps Navigation was built from the ground up to take advantage of your phone's Internet connection.

Here are seven features that are possible because Google Maps Navigation is connected to the Internet:

The most recent map and business data
When you use Google Maps Navigation, your phone automatically gets the most up-to-date maps and business listings from Google Maps — you never need to buy map upgrades or update your device. And this data is continuously improving, thanks to users who report maps issues and businesses who activate their listings with Google Local Business Center.

Search in plain English Google Maps Navigation brings the speed, power and simplicity of Google search to your car. If you don't know the address you're looking for, don't worry. Simply enter the name of a business, a landmark or just about anything into the search box, and Google will find it for you. Then press "Navigate", and you're on your way.

Search by voice
Typing on a phone can be difficult, especially in the car, so with Google Maps Navigation, you can say your destination instead. Hold down the search button to activate voice search, then tell your phone what you want to do (like "Navigate to Pike Place in Seattle"), and navigation will start automatically.

Traffic view
Google Maps Navigation gets live traffic data over the Internet. A traffic indicator light in the corner of the screen glows green, yellow or red, depending on the current traffic conditions along your route. If there's a jam ahead of you, you'll know. To get more details, tap the light to zoom out to an aerial view showing traffic speeds and incidents ahead. And if the traffic doesn't look good, you can choose an alternate route.

Search along route
For those times when you're already on the road and need to find a business, Google Maps Navigation searches along your route to give you results that won't take you far from your path. You can search for a specific business by name or by type, or you can turn on popular layers, such as gas stations, restaurants or parking.

Satellite view
Google Maps Navigation uses the same satellite imagery as Google Maps on the desktop to help you get to your destination. Turn on the satellite layer for a high-resolution, 3D view of your upcoming route. Besides looking cool, satellite view can help you make sense of complicated maneuvers.

Street View
If you want to know what your next turn looks like, double-tap the map to zoom into Street View, which shows the turn as you'll see it, with your route overlaid. And since locating an address can sometimes be tricky, we'll show you a picture of your destination as you approach the end of your route, so you'll know exactly what to look for.

Since there's nothing quite like seeing the product in action, we made this video to demonstrate a real-life example:
The first phone to have Google Maps Navigation and Android 2.0 is the Droid from Verizon. Google Maps Navigation is initially available in the United States. And like other Google Maps features, Navigation is free.

Check out the Google Maps Navigation page to learn more and browse a gallery of product screenshots. Take Google Maps Navigation for a spin, and bring Internet-connected GPS navigation with you in your car.

Where's my Gphone? - Technology

Posted by Levasto India | | Posted in , , ,

Despite all of the very interesting speculation over the last few months, we're not announcing a Gphone. However, we think what we are announcing -- the Open Handset Alliance and Android -- is more significant and ambitious than a single phone. In fact, through the joint efforts of the members of the Open Handset Alliance, we hope Android will be the foundation for many new phones and will create an entirely new mobile experience for users, with new applications and new capabilities we can’t imagine today.

Android is the first truly open and comprehensive platform for mobile devices. It includes an operating system, user-interface and applications -- all of the software to run a mobile phone, but without the proprietary obstacles that have hindered mobile innovation. We have developed Android in cooperation with the Open Handset Alliance, which consists of more than 30 technology and mobile leaders including Motorola, Qualcomm, HTC and T-Mobile. Through deep partnerships with carriers, device manufacturers, developers, and others, we hope to enable an open ecosystem for the mobile world by creating a standard, open mobile software platform. We think the result will ultimately be a better and faster pace for innovation that will give mobile customers unforeseen applications and capabilities.

We see Android as an important part of our strategy of furthering Google's goal of providing access to information to users wherever they are. We recognize that many among the multitude of mobile users around the world do not and may never have an Android-based phone. Our goals must be independent of device or even platform. For this reason, Android will complement, but not replace, our longstanding mobile strategy of developing useful and compelling mobile services and driving adoption of these products through partnerships with handset manufacturers and mobile operators around the world.

It's important to recognize that the Open Handset Alliance and Android have the potential to be major changes from the status quo -- one which will take patience and much investment by the various players before you'll see the first benefits. But we feel the potential gains for mobile customers around the world are worth the effort. If you’re a developer and this approach sounds exciting, give us a week or so and we’ll have an SDK available. If you’re a mobile user, you’ll have to wait a little longer, but some of our partners are targeting the second half of 2008 to ship phones based on the Android platform. And if you already have a phone you know and love, check out mobile.google.com and make sure you have Google Maps for mobile, Gmail and our other great applications on your phone. We'll continue to make these services better and add plenty of exciting new features, applications and services, too.

What would your phone do?

Is an USB charger better?
Is an USB charger better?
The world we live is relies on computers in order to do the work that needs to be done and people who use them like to achieve as many things as they can. Thanks to their computing skills and the capability of the PC, they can get a lot of things done, but there are a few physical aspects that do not need high computing skills in order to be solved.

For instance, the PC needs power in order to run, but so does your cell phone. If you do not have an outlet where you can charge your cell phone, can you use the power from the computer in order to charge the battery? With the help of an USB charger you are able to take some of the power in your PC and transform it into fuel for your cell phone.

A lot of people wonder if USB charging is as efficient as outlet charging, because the power is not the same. If you want to understand the process, you need to know that the power from an outlet is brought down in order to charge the battery while the USB charger only takes the power from the USB slot and into the battery with no changes.

This happens because the USB puts out 5V and the battery in your cell phone needs 5V in order to operate or to be charged. Thus the USB charger does not take up a lot of stress in order to transform or bring down the power and it will not be submitted to a lot of wearing down over time because of this, thus having a much longer lifespan instead.

On the other hand, if the charger is not original and it does not transform the power in the outlet as it needs to do it, the battery of your cell phone will take on a lot of damage. USB charging does not face this sort of issues because the USB charger does not have to transform anything and the battery will be safe from any power fluctuations also.

If you want to know whether USB charging is better than the outlet charging, the answer is no, because they are both the same, but if you want to know which one is safer, then you can be sure USB chargers will come on top. All you have to do is find the ones you want for your device and you can charge your phone using the power of your PC.

The web is the best source you can turn to when you want to find the USB charging kits you can make the most of, but if you want to waste as little time as you can for this and you want to get your hands on the best products, then you need to take the time and visit the site aviiq.com in order to check out a list of accessories that suit your needs.

The main difference between USB charging and outlet charging is not the battery life, because they both offer the same results, but the safety of the process. If you would use an USB charger, the power that comes from the slot is ideal for the battery, but the outlet charger has to bring the power down and if it fails, your cell can be destroyed.
